Review Notification Settings
A good CTMS will offer automatic notifications and alerts related to various trial management activities. As people’s jobs and roles shift, they need access to different information and the notifications they need to receive may not be configured or set-up. It’s important to review these settings and make sure that everybody is receiving the correct information.
Review New Features
A good CTMS provider will also distribute multiple application updates each year. While every new feature or upgrade might not be important to your research organization, it’s important to know what features are available. It’s also important to review the application as updates are released to ensure that your organization is utilizing all of the tools at its disposal. If you don’t review the new features, you may miss an important tool that could potentially save even more time and money.
Archive Completed Studies
Another part of your pit stop should be to “archive” any studies that have been completed but are still active in your CTMS. Placing these studies in an archived state helps to keep you study list clean, prevents accidental data modification and in situations where your CTMS bills by the number of active studies it can be a cost savings to do this.
