Dear Customers, Colleagues, and Partners:
2017 was another record year for Bio-Optronics.
All three of our product families had double-digit growth for 2017, with a total growth of 25%. We expanded our international presence, growing our European business over 50%.
As we serve growing healthcare and clinical research industries, the needs and expectations of those clients continue to evolve. To meet their expectations, we continued to grow and diversify our team. New professionals joined our software engineering, quality, services, and sales teams.
We continue to balance scaling up our company with maintaining personalized focus on each client. To further our understanding of our clients’ world, several of our new colleagues joined us from the clinical research and healthcare fields we serve.
This year, we held our first ever user group conferences for both Clinical Conductor and Momentum users, characterized by working sessions on evolving product requirements.
Our company was founded over 30 years ago based on innovation and we have continued to innovate our solutions to help our users address emerging challenges in healthcare and clinical research.
In 2017, Clinical Conductor released the Business Intelligence Module that makes the vast amount of data in the system available and provides tools for powerful ad-hoc reporting and analytical insight. We introduced the first comprehensive integrated eRegulatory and CTMS solution in the market. Other innovations include a universal accounting system export and a new financial event handler that continue to make Clinical Conductor the top CTMS for financial management.
The Biopoint product family continued to evolve, helping the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to better serve U.S. veterans. With the release of two new products, the Biopoint Pharmacy Tracker and the Biopoint Barcoded Point of Care Wristband Module, VA facilities can continue to elevate the level of care they provide.
Momentum launched its intricate hourly scheduling capability to better serve its growing international client base. Momentum’s mobile companion app has also expanded and now supports both iOS and Android users with improved functionality.
Our services team installed a new call handling system to optimized help desk support while expanding coverage time and languages. We will introduce technology-based support services in 2018 such as a user-accessible knowledge base and online chat features.
